Insurance Information

While many companies say they have insurance, ask them to provide it, show you proof, we bet you they won’t!

Unfortunately its a common misconception that removalists insure your possessions with every move. By Law removalists are unable to insure your individual items unless they are a registered insurance agent. Some insurance companies cover your possessions for relocation if you have Home Contents Insurance. We suggest you contact your Home Contents Insurance to see exactly what it actually covers , as different policies cover different things, We at ANYTHING ANYWHERE REMOVALS are unable to accept any responsibility for damage to your property, though we assure you that we take the utmost care with every move. We don’t want any damages , because if we damage your goods , basically you will not use our company or recommend us , which is where we get 80% of our work from , ongoing clients , referrals and friends relatives etc.

Removals Insurance

For those customers who wish for specific Removals Insurance, Removals Insurance Australia is one company which specializes in relocation insurance.

Whilst we take care of our customers as we would our own family moves, the process of relocating furnishings and belongings can be complex. We’re only human, and sometimes, although rarely, things happen. In almost all cases, breakage does not occur. But if your belongings are valuable and irreplaceable, then we strongly urge you to consider safeguarding your move with insurance. On the 10th of March 2004 the “Financial Services Reform Act” came into effect. Under this act, it is against the law for anyone, other than an Australian Financial Services Licensee, to advise, sell or arrange insurance on someone else’s behalf. Only the owner of the goods can insure their goods against accidental damage. Under the Trades Practices Act, sections 68 & 74, a courier or carrier has no implied duty of care of goods in their custody and control and therefore cannot be held liable for any accidental damage. If the owner of the goods does not insure or takes the risk of not insuring their goods, that is a risk they have taken and therefore a loss that they alone will incur. You can apply for Household/Office Removals Insurance with your current home & contents insur

Questions & Answers

A selection of our most frequent questions

What is your rate structure?

Our rates are published in half hourly blocks of time and are all exclusive of GST. You pay only for the time we arrive at your door step until the time we leave the drop off location. There is a 1 hour call out charge (localy)

What are your payment terms?

Payment is strictly COD (cash on delivery). We do not accept cheques under any circumstances so please do not ask. When paying in cash please ensure you have enough money on you on the day to settle your bill.

Can I get a firm quote?

Yes. full itemised inventory required.

Do you charge tolls?

Getting to and from your locations we do not charge you tolls. If you direct us to use motorways (your removalists will discuss the route to the next premises on the day) we will add the toll charge at cost to the invoice. Remember, using tolls cuts down our travel time and will end up saving you money.

Can I help the removalists?      Yes sure.           You may not enter our trucks due to liability reasons, but it is your stuff we are transporting, so you may help us move it to and from the back of the vehicle. If you do want to help to reduce costs we suggest you leave the large and difficult pieces to us (that is why you have employed us after all). We may ask you follow our direction to ensure we coordinate your move in the most efficient way.

How much notice do you need?
Answer: You can call anytime before your move but to ensure
we can move you on the day you want to move book at least 2 weeks before.

Should i take draws out of furniture?
Answer: No you don't have to take draws out but leaving things in draws
can make items heavier and more difficult to Maneuver.

What suburbs do you service?
Answer: We service all of Brisbane's suburbs and both Coasts.

Do you move pianos?
Answer: No                        organise a professional piano mover for the move of your piano.
Although we could move it for you, we prefer leaving it to the professionals in that field.
They have the proper equipment and skills to move these delicate instruments with care.
Think about it, they move only pianos every day, we don't.
Most furniture removalist will charge extra for pianos it makes sense to get piano professionals
Can you move my plants?
Answer: Yes  If you are moving locally.
Water them a couple of days before the move, you can give them a good water when they are set up
in their new home. And it stops the water from leaking through the truck and wetting your effects.
